Phu Tho mobilizes business households under 1 billion VND to participate in voluntary social insurance
Phu Tho - From January 1, 2026, business households under 1 billion do not have to pay compulsory social insurance.
However, Phu Tho Social Insurance encourages and mobilizes this group to switch to participating in voluntary social insurance and household health insurance.
Accordingly, Vietnam Social Security has document No. 2792/BHXH-QLT dated July 28, 2026, Phu Tho Social Security has document No. 1903/BHXH-QLT&PTNTG dated August 4, 2026 on this issue.
Recently, Yen Lac Grassroots Social Insurance organized a conference to propagate and disseminate regulations on collecting and paying social insurance and health insurance for business households.
The focus content is aimed at business households with revenue below 1 billion VND/year. Social Insurance guides these subjects to switch to voluntary social insurance and household health insurance according to regulations.
At the program, officials of the Social Insurance sector answered questions related to rights, responsibilities and contribution methods. The contents were exchanged to help small traders and freelancers better understand the value of social security policies, proactively create financial support in old age, as well as ensure health care rights when unfortunately sick.
Many business households agreed with the policy, committed to coordinating to implement the instructions of functional agencies correctly. Some cases have registered for voluntary social insurance and household health insurance right at the conference.
