Distinguished Delegate of An Giang sends expectations at the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union
As one of 780 outstanding delegates, representing the will, aspirations and intelligence of nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide attending the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the term 2026 - 2031, Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation brought the thoughts, aspirations and expectations of union members and workers to the Congress.
Mr. Do Tran Thinh said: "I have high expectations for this Congress, hoping that the trade union will continue to be closer to workers. The trade union organization is increasingly close to the grassroots trade union, accompanying businesses to remove difficulties, and effectively implementing the Party and State's orientations in economic development.
In addition, I expect the issue of social security and welfare for workers to be better and better, and care for workers will be increasingly focused on. In the current development situation, with the trend of labor migration from rural areas to industrial parks, I believe that if we focus on good care and good development, the trade union organization and union members will be increasingly consolidated and stronger.
According to Mr. Do Tran Thinh, each trade union member, each worker needs to actively grasp the development trend of the country. On that basis, workers can cultivate their own labor skills, digital knowledge skills to be able to apply to their activities at enterprises as well as the activities of trade union organizations.
When discussing specific actions and breakthrough steps to better care for workers in An Giang, Mr. Thinh said: "An Giang Trade Union after the merger of the province has focused and consolidated, firmly grasped the existing labor force as well as trade union members. On that basis, we have reviewed and actively developed trade union members. Right in the past Workers' Month, An Giang has had practical activities to care for workers.
An Giang Provincial Trade Union has oriented and focused on unlocking many resources, not only the resources of the trade union organization but also other resources outside society, of philanthropists, of people with hearts towards rural areas as well as workers in businesses that are still facing difficulties.
It can be said that in the past year, the new point of An Giang Trade Union is that it has focused on implementing with commune-level localities to complete 6 bridges and dozens of Trade Union Warm Houses. This is a new way to attract more socialized resources, in addition to industry resources, so that we can create more practical and welfare products for workers.
