Ho Chi Minh City - Trade Union's meaningful meal brings care and motivation to the forces collecting martyrs' remains in Ho Chi Minh City.

In the warm and bustling atmosphere on the evening of August 8, Corporal Huynh Viet Toan and members of the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team (Ho Chi Minh City Command), motorbike exhumation force, sampling team and digital department attended a friendly meal together.

This is the program "Trade Union Meal of Gratitude - Gratitude to the officers and soldiers performing the task of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park", assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to the Hoa Hung Ward Trade Union to organize.

Expressing his emotion when receiving attention from units, Corporal Huynh Viet Toan shared: "Today's warm meal is a meaningful opportunity for soldiers to exchange, connect and receive timely sharing and encouragement.

Corporal Toan said that he has been involved in searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains for more than a month now. Corporal Toan's daily work is digging, searching and carefully welcoming heroic martyrs back.

Although the field work faces many hardships, thoughtful care and meaningful meals are a great source of spiritual support, helping soldiers maintain their psychology to excellently complete the sacred tasks assigned.

Sharing at the program, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hong - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Hung Ward - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hoa Hung Ward said that as soon as receiving the plan from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the unit proactively contacted partners, the Ward Fatherland Front and sponsors. Although the preparation time was quite rushed, the local trade union collective was still determined to hold a thoughtful party to promptly express gratitude, helping soldiers reduce fatigue after stressful working hours.

According to the plan of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, this activity will be maintained regularly once a month on weekends (Friday or Saturday) throughout the campaign period, expected to last about 12 months. Depending on the actual situation, the trade union may organize additional meals interspersed between weeks.

In this first phase, the Ward Trade Union actively mobilized more philanthropists, sponsors and contributions from grassroots trade union officials to organize a thoughtful banquet. The program also combined cultural exchanges between trade union members and soldiers. On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also presented 50 gifts to support participating forces.
