Typical models in 2025 of Dong Thap Trade Union

Dong Thap province currently has 756 grassroots trade unions, with more than 200,000,8808 union members. This is the core force for the models to come into life and spread widely in businesses and the community.

The models not only bring practical material and spiritual results but also contribute to clearly affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in social life and in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the locality.

The model of " Non-profit Trade Union Supermarket" continues to be maintained and replicated, providing essential goods at lower prices than the market and ensuring quality. Not only does it help reduce living costs, the model is also a "connecting point" for policy propaganda, legal advice and implementation of welfare programs for workers.

For the model of " Pregnant women and small children's clubs", the whole province has launched 6 clubs with 474 members participating. Thereby, creating an environment for sharing knowledge of reproductive health care, child care and promoting gender equality policies, contributing to building a stable and sustainable female workforce.

The model of "Self-managed workers' group in boarding houses" has created a foundation to maintain the security of workers' residential areas. The whole province currently has 91 self-managed worker dormitories with 8,272 workers participating, along with 63 mediation groups with 365 members. The model helps to propagate the law, prevent crimes, maintain security and order and build a united and stable working community.

Those participating in the "Happy Bus" model are supported with a full package of free pregnancy check-up and delivery services. Since March 2025, the program has been implemented and broadcast for 14 seasons on television, creating a positive social effect, helping female workers feel secure at work and stabilize family life.

The game show "After work hours" is a new cultural and legal activity model, broadcast in 8 episodes on television, helping workers access labor laws, trade unions, and occupational safety and hygiene in a lively, easy-to-understand form.

Coordinate with the Provincial Police and the Provincial Labor Federation to deploy the "Workers 5 no's" model, mobilizing workers to carry out 5 "no" contents on social evils, traffic safety, labor safety, weapons and firecrackers prevention and illegal strikes. The model was effectively piloted at Cadovimex II Import-Export Processing and Trading Joint Stock Company (Sa Dec Industrial Park), contributing to building a disciplined and safe working environment.

One of the models of profound political significance that Dong Thap Trade Union has effectively implemented is "The Trade Union directly fosters and introduces outstanding union members who are direct production workers in non-state enterprises to the Party for admission".

In 2025 alone, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province introduced 1,481 outstanding union members for the Party to consider training and admission (reaching 194.3% of the target). Of which, 502 union members were admitted to the Party. In particular, the non-state enterprise sector has 131 direct production workers in the ranks of the Party.

This result not only contributes to adding a young force of Party members but also affirms the role of the Trade Union in Party building work, gradually enhancing the political and social position of the Dong Thap working class in the period of industrialization and modernization.
