Suggestions for 4 issues at Dong Thap Trade Union Congress

On the morning of December 26, at the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - suggested 4 issues for the congress to discuss.

Ms. Xuong raised the issue, in front of us is the goal of building a strong Trade Union towards the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, in which the spirit of the Draft Resolution of the First Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union and the Action Program that the Congress of comrades discussed and decided will be the foundation, the red thread throughout the term.

According to the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Dong Thap Trade Union needs to focus on performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially the issues of wages, bonuses, time, etc. Strengthening coordination to improve the effectiveness of implementing grassroots democracy; developing diverse activities to care for the interests of union members in a practical and effective manner.

Second, Dong Thap Trade Union needs to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda and mobilization in a proactive, timely and effective manner; through digitalization, connection and use of communication documents on cyberspace, digital platforms according to the principles of "fast", "profound" and "clear" so that workers can easily access and understand correctly, thereby improving the effectiveness of education and persuasion in propaganda about trade union organization and activities.

"We must improve political courage, legal awareness, industrial style, labor discipline, qualifications, professional skills, and self-assertment aspirations of union members and workers. Focus on effectively implementing the Trade Union Communication Program, promoting the role of union members in building and operating trade unions" - Ms. Xuong emphasized.

Third, organize patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers well with appropriate content and methods for each type of grassroots, profession and target.

Fourth, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Trade Union according to the new organizational model and apparatus, especially the model of the commune and ward trade unions; focus on training, fostering, and building a team of trade union officials...
