An Giang Union members and workers enthusiastically participate in voluntary blood donation

Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said: The Provincial Federation of Labor has just coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society, the Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation to organize and respond to the Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign on the occasion of Tet and "Red Spring Festival" in 2026 with the message "D donate blood in the beginning of spring - multiply happiness".

Currently, in hospitals in An Giang province in particular and the whole country in general, there are many patients facing the line between life and death, in great need of drops of blood to maintain their lives.

Understanding that, in recent years, the An Giang Provincial Trade Union at all levels has always been a pioneer, considering voluntary blood donation not only a responsibility, but also an order from the heart of each union member and employee.

Mr. Le Chi Dung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Kien Hung Joint Stock Company said that he personally donated blood for the fourth time with union members and workers of the company. In this launching of the Red Spring Festival, the Trade Union participated with 20 people.

"Every time the Labor Federation mobilizes the program, we register. The company's staff also realize that donating blood to save lives is a good and meaningful job, so in addition to completing the work well at the unit, we are also willing to share with the community," said Mr. Dung.

Ms. Huynh Tran My Thien, a union member working at the Center for Disease Control of An Giang province, said that right from the moment the students participated in the blood donation program. "I understand and realize the need for blood to save lives as well as the need for blood in hospitals, so I participate regularly. I think setting an example for myself will be an effective way to promote many people to participate", Ms. Thien confided.

Mr. Pham Quoc Thinh - a union member working at Kien Giang Trading Joint Stock Company shared that this is the 7th time he has participated in blood donation.

"At first, I felt a bit nervous, but in fact, when I participated, I felt normal, after donating, I still worked well without getting tired. In addition, I also participate in directly donating blood to the hospital when there is an emergency that requires urgent blood transfusion. When I donate blood directly, I feel emotional and happy because I have contributed to helping them overcome the critical condition.

The Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor informed: In 2026, continue to promote patriotic emulation movements, build a strong Trade Union organization. In which participating in voluntary blood donation is extremely meaningful and practical.

The union also calls on union members and workers to promote the spirit of mutual love and support, actively register to donate blood. Each union member is a propagandist, spreading the noble meaning of the message "Donate blood to save people - Your life and mine". Thereby, making the voluntary blood donation movement a regular and practical activity at grassroots trade unions, contributing to the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation and the health sector in ensuring blood reserves for emergency care and treatment, Mr. Thinh emphasized.
