More than 700 Nghe An workers receive training on drug prevention and control

On the afternoon of December 27, Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House coordinated with the Trade Union of Thanh Chuong Group Joint Stock Company to organize a training conference and education on drug prevention and control for more than 700 workers.

The program was attended by Mr. Trinh Van Nha - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dai Dong commune; Mr. Nguyen Duc Thu - Director of Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House, along with representatives of enterprise leaders and more than 700 workers.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thu emphasized that in the process of socio-economic development, workers are the core force that directly creates material wealth. However, in addition to job opportunities and income, workers also face many risks, including drugs, work accidents and occupational diseases.

Drugs not only destroy human health and personality but also seriously affect family happiness, social order and safety and the quality of human resources.

From that practice, the conference was held to raise awareness and responsibility of workers in drug prevention and control; equip knowledge and skills on occupational safety and hygiene, accident and disease prevention; contribute to building a safe, healthy, stable and sustainable working environment.

At the conference, workers were disseminated legal knowledge on drug prevention and control; clarified the role and responsibility of trade unions in this work, and at the same time encouraged workers to actively participate in drug prevention and control activities at the facility.

In addition, workers are also trained in basic contents on occupational safety and hygiene; identifying dangerous factors, harmful factors in production; handling possible accidents; using safety equipment, preventing and fighting fires and explosions, electrical short circuit; practicing first aid skills for victims of electrocution and drowning.

The training session contributes to raising awareness and skills for workers, creating a sense of security in production. On this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Labor Culture House presented 10 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.
