Trade union mobilizes 2.2 billion VND in savings, creating capital for the poor

On August 22, the Trade Union of the An Lao Social Policy Bank (NHCSXH) branch (under the grassroots Trade Union of Gia Lai Provincial NHCSXH) said that it had coordinated with the An Lao Commune Women's Union to mobilize officials, members and people to deposit savings and create capital to implement policy credit programs in the area.

With the motto "One person one action - each family one savings - joining hands to create capital for the poor", units propagate the meaning of depositing savings at VBSP; guide people on deposit forms, terms and procedures.

Through mobilization, 60 officials and members in An Lao commune participated in savings deposits with a total amount of 2.2 billion VND. This source of money contributes to supplementing capital for VBSP to implement preferential credit programs, supporting poor households, near-poor households and policy beneficiaries.

Mr. Dang Thanh Quoc - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Lao VBSP - said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with associations and unions to mobilize "Depositing savings to join hands for the poor", associated with the activities of associations, unions, savings and loan groups.

The unit will also integrate loan activities with agricultural and forestry extension programs, guiding poor households and policy beneficiaries to use preferential capital effectively, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring social security in the area.
