Elderly people from 60 to under 75 years old from poor households are subsidized 810,000 VND/month

Clause 1, Article 6, Decree 335/2026/ND-CP (effective from October 5, 2026) stipulates that subjects specified in Article 5 of this Decree are entitled to monthly social allowances with a level equal to the standard level of social assistance specified in Clause 2, Article 4 of this Decree multiplied by the corresponding coefficient specified as follows:

d) For subjects specified in Clause 5, Article 5 of this Decree: Coefficient 1.5 for subjects specified in Point a, Clause 5 from 60 years old to under 75 years old;

Point a, Clause 5, Article 5 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP, the elderly who fall into one of the following cases are eligible for regular social assistance in the community: Elderly people from poor households, who do not have people with obligations and rights to support or have people with obligations and rights to support but this person is receiving monthly social allowances;

Clause 2, Article 4 of Decree 335/2026/ND-CP stipulates: The standard level of social assistance is 540,000 VND/month.

Thus, from October 5, 2026, elderly people from 60 to under 75 years old from poor households without people with obligations and rights to support will receive monthly social allowances equal to 810,000 VND (540,000 VND/month x 1.5).
