Procedures for electing Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee according to Party regulations
Decision No. 190-QD/TW dated October 10, 2024 of the Central Executive Committee clearly states the procedure for electing the Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee.
On January 22, the 14th National Congress of the Party entered its third official working day.
According to the Party Election Regulations issued with Decision No. 190-QD/TW, dated October 10, 2024 of the Party Central Committee, the election at the National Congress of Delegates is decided by the Congress.
Articles 26 and 27 of Chapter IV of Decision No. 190-QD/TW stipulate the order and procedures for electing the Central Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee as follows:
Article 26. Election of the Central Inspection Committee
1. The Presidium reported on the standards, structure, and number of members of the Central Inspection Committee for the conference to consider and decide.
2. The conference voted on the number of members of the Central Inspection Committee.
3. The Presidium nominated a list of candidates recommended by the Politburo in advance to elect the Central Inspection Committee and the opinion of the new Politburo in November.
4. Campaign and nomination.
5. The Presidium compiled a list of self-nominants and nominees; proposed cases that were withdrawn and not withdrawn from the election list, and reported to the conference for consideration and decision.
Take the conference's opinion request for candidates nominated at the conference (if necessary).
6. Make an election list; conference to vote through the number and election list.

Article 27. Election of Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee
1. The Presidium reported on the requirements and standards for the Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee; personnel expected to be introduced by the Central Party Executive Committee in advance (if any) and the introduction of the new Politburo.
2. Campaign and nomination.
3. The Presidium compiled a list of self-nominants and nominees; proposed cases that were withdrawn and not withdrawn from the election list, and reported to the conference for consideration and decision.

Decision No. 190-QD/TW in Article 28 also stipulates the election of additional members of the Standing Committee; secretary, deputy secretary, member of the inspection committee, and head of the inspection committee.
Meanwhile, Article 29 stipulates the election of General Secretary (when required); election additional members of the Party Central Committee, Politburo members, members of the Secretariat, members of the Central Inspection Committee, and Chairmen of the Central Inspection Committee.
