Millions of Vietnamese people across the world are united in looking forward to the 14th Congress

Persistent opinions of overseas Vietnamese

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) said that the Korean People's Committee's consultation on the draft Political Report submitted to the 14th National Party Congress has been widely implemented in the overseas Vietnamese community from all continents.

The opinions of overseas Vietnamese, associations, networks/groups of experts, intellectuals, businessmen, students, women... demonstrate the sense of responsibility, belief and aspiration to contribute to the homeland, vividly reflecting the affection of our compatriots abroad for the Fatherland. All opinions expressed confidence, affection, sense of responsibility and aspiration to accompany the Fatherland, considering contributing opinions to the draft Document as an opportunity to demonstrate the patriotism and intelligence of the Vietnamese community worldwide.

Overall, overseas Vietnamese assessed the draft Political Report this time as having high quality and strategic vision, clearly demonstrating the connection between three important areas: economy - society - Party building. Many opinions highly appreciated the innovation in leadership thinking when for the first time the four major reports were integrated into a single Political Report and the implementation of the Action Program right in the Report, demonstrating the spirit of " saying goes hand in hand".

Regarding the theme of the Congress, overseas Vietnamese expressed their high unity and consensus, considering this a concise and clear message, expressing the aspiration for development and the spirit of great national unity.

Regarding the development policy, overseas Vietnamese highly appreciate new orientations, emphasizing the three pillars of science - technology, innovation and digital transformation, considering this the central driving force of the new development model. Overseas Vietnamese have made recommendations on: Building a National Strategy on talent and innovation, connecting domestic and foreign intellectual resources; institutionalizing the policy of "knowledge circulation" - bringing Vietnamese knowledge back to serve the country, encouraging Vietnamese experts and intellectuals abroad to participate in national development; promulgating a mechanism to protect those who dare to think and dare to do; developing a national innovation ecosystem, regional and national R&D centers.

Regarding foreign affairs and international integration, many opinions emphasized that nearly 6.5 million overseas Vietnamese are a strategic resource and a soft power of the country in international integration and people's foreign affairs. The recommendations focus on strengthening coordination between representative agencies and associations, promoting the role of overseas Vietnamese in cultural, scientific and Vietnamese values diplomacy - developing a network of "People's Ambassadors" to promote the image of Vietnam as creative, humane and integrated.

With the policy for overseas Vietnamese, the majority of opinions strongly agree with the spirit of the Draft, affirming that the overseas Vietnamese community is an inseparable part of the Vietnamese people, a resource of the country and making specific proposals on: creating a stable legal corridor for overseas Vietnamese to confidently integrate and contribute; promoting the teaching and learning of Vietnamese, preserving national cultural identity; reforming administration, digitizing public services; developing exchange programs, scholarships, internships for overseas Vietnamese youth and students; building a global network of intellectuals - businessmen - Vietnamese experts, connecting with domestic localities.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien emphasized that the contributions of overseas Vietnamese are both theoretical and practical, demonstrating belief in the renovation guidelines and hoping that the 14th Congress will continue to affirm the role of the overseas Vietnamese community in the country's development strategy, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc, spreading the value and image of Vietnam in the international arena.

Strong call-ups arouse the aspiration to rise of the entire nation

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, the 14th National Party Congress is a milestone of special significance, taking place at a time when the country is entering a new stage with the aspiration to enter a new era of development, becoming a developed country with high income in the mid-X mixed-century.

Looking back at the historical journey of the nation, we can see more clearly the meaning of the present time. Vietnam is facing a historic opportunity to enter a new era of development - the era of innovation, digital transformation, knowledge economy and deep integration.

With seven important Resolutions issued by the Central Government recently, along with the upcoming Resolution of the 14th National Assembly and subsequent Resolutions in the future, we have enough basis to believe in a strong and synchronous policy foundation, creating momentum to realize the vision of 2045: becoming a developed country with high income.

The overseas Vietnamese community always follows and has high expectations for the Congress, because each Party's decision is closely linked to the future and position of the country, and is also the future and pride of nearly 6.5 million Vietnamese people living around the world.

We firmly believe that the 14th Congress will continue to affirm and promote the Party's innovative thinking, strategic vision and leadership, making correct and breakthrough decisions, both inheriting tradition and opening a new development path in line with the times. The Congress is not only a place to summarize the past journey, but also a strong call to arouse the aspiration to rise of the entire nation, including the overseas Vietnamese community Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien shared.

We believe that our people across the five continents will always turn to the Fatherland with deep affection, strong faith and determination to accompany the Party and State in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. We hope that the 14th Congress will continue to place the Vietnamese people - both domestically and internationally - at the center of all development policies; continue to arouse creativity, solidarity, and will to rise up so that the country - the homeland of Vietnam - can develop rapidly and sustainably, integrate widely, and strongly spread the values of Vietnam in the new era" - Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien expressed.
