The propaganda work of the 14th National Party Congress is identified as a key task, contributing to the fight against and promptly refuting false and hostile information.
On the afternoon of December 30, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee held a training conference for cadres and press reporters to propagate the 14th National Party Congress.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Permanent Deputy Director of the 14th National Party Congress Press Center - said that the 14th National Party Congress is an important political event, of decisive significance to the country's development future in the new era approaching.
According to Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy, propaganda work in general and propaganda in the press in particular need to be implemented with new thinking, new ways of doing things, new methods. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to and promote the role of multi-platform journalism, especially digital platforms.
The press products to propagate the 14th National Party Congress must ensure a profound and attractive orientation in terms of content and form; have strong influence and the ability to lead public opinion.
With that meaning, the conference aims to raise awareness among cadres and reporters about the meaning, importance, new points in the organization of the 14th National Party Congress and the core content of the draft Documents submitted to the Congress.
The conference also equipped methods, skills, and methods in propagating the Congress, especially the requirement to innovate content, forms, and methods of propaganda towards multi-platform, with depth, influence, ensuring accuracy, fighting spirit and persuasion.
Strengthen propaganda responsibility, professional ethics, and courage of journalists, especially in the context of the current development of cyberspace. There is multi-dimensional information, even disruption, hostile forces, political opportunity elements, and dissatisfaction in increasing sabotage activities, distorting the preparation and organization of the 14th National Party Congress.
Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy stated that in the past time, on all platforms, especially cyberspace, hostile forces, and political opportunity elements have distorted and defamed and focused heavily on the story towards the 14th Congress.
Therefore, the tasks and responsibilities of journalists at this time are even more profound and must clearly demonstrate the spirit of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists. That spirit must be further promoted in the period leading up to the Congress.
I hope and believe that after the conference, each cadre and reporter will be more aware of their political responsibility, better perform the role of a soldier on the cultural ideological front, making an important contribution to the successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress, strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the development of the country in the era of national growth, said Mr. Phan Xuan Thuy.
