General Secretary and President To Lam chairs the first session of the National Defense and Security Council for the term 2026 - 2031.
On the morning of April 28, 2026, in Hanoi, General Secretary, President To Lam, Commander of the People's Armed Forces, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council chaired the first session of the National Defense and Security Council for the term 2026 - 2031, after the 16th National Assembly approved the members of the new term Council.
Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Prime Minister Le Minh Hung; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.
Also attending the meeting were members of the National Defense and Security Council for the term 2026 - 2031.
