Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway opens to traffic for more than 83km
Khanh Hoa - The authorities have opened the entire Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway to traffic since January 1, 2026
On the morning of January 1, Mr. Dang Van Dung - Director of the Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway Project (under Project Management Board 7, Ministry of Construction) confirmed that the last 13km section of the project had completed all construction items and officially opened to traffic on the first day of the new year 2026.
Thus, the entire more than 83km of Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway has been opened to traffic, contributing significantly to the completion and shaping of the North - South expressway axis in the East.

Previously, in April 2025, 70.3km of Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway (from Van Ninh to Dien Tho) was completed and put into operation.
As for the 13km section of the final route, after a period of focusing on construction, overcoming technical problems and weather conditions, it is now eligible for traffic according to regulations.
The Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway Project is located entirely in Khanh Hoa province, invested by Project Management Board 7 (Ministry of Construction), with a total investment of VND 11,808 billion.
The route is 83.35km long, starting at the southern end of Co Ma tunnel (Dai Lanh commune), near National Highway 1; ending at the intersection with Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway.
Currently, there are 5 expressways from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) open to traffic.
They are Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Vinh Hao, Cam Lam - Nha Trang and Van Phong - Nha Trang.
