Ta Dung - Ha Long Bay in the Central Highlands is expected to become a new commune name
Dak Nong - According to the conclusion of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee, it is expected that Dak Som commune and Dak R' Mang commune, Dak Glong district will merge and take the new name of Ta Dung commune.
On April 17, the Standing Committee of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee approved a plan to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in the province.
For Dak Glong district, the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee agreed with the policy of merging and rearranging 4 more communes. In which, keep Quang Son commune (meeting all criteria) and Quang Hoa commune (waiting to merge into a commune of Lam Dong province).
Dak Ha commune was merged into a number of other localities of Gia Nghia city to establish a new ward.
For the remaining communes, in addition to Quang Khe commune (merged from the old Quang Khe commune and the old Dak Plao commune), it is expected that there will be Ta Dung commune, on the basis of merging Dak Som commune and Dak R' Mang commune.
Ta Dung is a famous landmark of Dak Nong province, associated with the Ta Dung mountain range and the cultural life of the Ma people at the foot of the mountain.
In recent years, Ta Dung has been a famous tourist destination with Ta Dung Lake being likened to Ha Long Bay in the Central Highlands.
