Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Le Cong Ly receives additional tasks
Can Tho - On the morning of May 18, the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee organized a conference to deploy personnel work. Mr. Le Cong Ly, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, received a new task.
The conference announced decisions on personnel work of the Prime Minister, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee and City Party Committee.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister has signed a Decision approving the results of the election of the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031 for Mr. Le Cong Ly, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones.
Can Tho City Party Committee has decided to appoint Mr. Le Cong Ly, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Member of the Executive Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031, to participate in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee for the term 2025 - 2030.
Information from Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Truong Canh Tuyen, immediately after receiving the Prime Minister's approval decision, the Standing Committee of Can Tho City People's Committee held a meeting and assigned tasks to the Vice Chairmen.
Mr. Le Cong Ly holds the position of Standing Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee. Mr. Ly directly directs the fields of industry, justice, management and direction of the Construction and Industrial Works Management Board.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, on April 29, 2026, the second session (specialized session) of the City People's Council elected Mr. Le Cong Ly to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031.
Mr. Le Cong Ly (born in 1977, native of former Hau Giang, now Can Tho City). Mr. Ly has professional qualifications: University of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Master of Business Administration; senior in political theory. Mr. Ly has worked for a long time in the former Hau Giang province and has held many positions.
Currently, Can Tho City People's Committee for the 2026 - 2031 term has 6 Vice Chairmen: Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Van Khoi, Nguyen Van Hoa, Vuong Quoc Nam, Tran Chi Hung, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep and Le Cong Ly.
The conference also announced the Decision to assign the power of Head of the Management Board of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones to Mr. Tran Ngoc Hung, City Party Committee Member, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones until the title of Head of this Board is consolidated.
