In the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland, millions of outstanding children of the Vietnamese nation bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.

38 years ago, March 14, 1988, 64 officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy bravely sacrificed themselves while on duty to protect the national flag and sea and island sovereignty.

The sacrifice of the soldiers has become a sacred symbol of patriotism, indomitable spirit and the will to protect the sea and island sovereignty of the Vietnamese nation.

Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (operating since 2017) built by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on an area of over 20,000m2 with a total investment of nearly 130 billion VND.

After phase 1, today, Khanh Hoa province started construction of the Truong Sa Museum project.

This project is built on a land area of 1.71ha, adjacent to the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area (Cam Lam district). The cost of design and construction competition is sponsored by private enterprises.
