Duties and powers of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee from March 2025

From March 1, the Law on Organization of Local Government 2025, which officially took effect, has stipulated the duties and powers of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Including the duties and powers:

Lead and manage the work of the People's Committee; convene and chair meetings of the People's Committee;

Lead and direct the implementation of tasks of implementing the Constitution, laws, documents of superior state agencies and of People's Councils and People's Committees at their levels; inspect and handle violations in the process of implementing the Constitution and laws in localities;

Lead and be responsible for the operation of the state administrative apparatus in localities, ensuring the unity and smoothness of the administrative system; for the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; for the implementation of administrative reform and reform of public services and civil servants in the state administrative system in localities;

Lead, direct, urge, inspect the work of other specialized agencies and administrative organizations under the People's Committees at their levels, People's Committees, and Chairmen of People's Committees at subordinate levels;

Direct and organize the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, developing local sectors and fields;

Organize local state management in the fields of finance, investment, land, resources, environment, trade, services, industry, agriculture, construction, transportation, transportation, education, health, judicial administration, judicial assistance, internal affairs, labor, culture, information, tourism, sports, society, ethnicity, religion, national defense, security, social order and safety, foreign affairs activities;

Preventing and combating corruption, negativity, waste; preventing and combating crimes and other violations of the law in localities according to the provisions of law;

Decide to apply other urgent measures prescribed by law in cases where it is necessary for national interests, natural disaster prevention and control, epidemics, ensuring the lives and property of local people, then report to the competent authority of the Party and the Prime Minister as soon as possible;

Direct and be responsible for the recruitment and use of civil servants and public employees in the area according to the provisions of law and the decentralization of the superior state agency;

Decision to appoint, dismiss, transfer, and remove from the positions of head and deputy head of other professional agencies, administrative organizations, and public service units under the People's Committee at their level;

Direct the implementation of inspection, examination, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation settlement, prevention and combat of bureaucracy, corruption, negativity and waste in the operations of the state administrative apparatus and in local socio-economic activities;

Ratify the results of election, dismissal, dismissal and decide to mobilize, dismiss the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the district People's Committee; Assign the Chairman of the District People's Committee; The decision to temporarily suspend the work for the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of his level, the Chairman of the district People's Committee, the head of the specialized agency under his / her People's Committee, the head of the public non -business unit under his / her People's Committee ...
