Identifying distorted arguments, denying the meaning of the April 30, 1975 victory
The great victory of Spring April 30, 1975 is a tribute to the strength and pride of each citizen, of the entire Vietnamese nation. But besides that, there are still elements of sabotage carrying a distorted and distorted view of historical truth, going against the spirit of tolerance, consensus, and unity of our entire people.
Every year, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification, radio stations, newspapers, and social networking sites of hostile and reactionary organizations and forces deliberately distort that our resistance war against the US for national salvation and the great victory in the spring of 1975 was "completely meaningless, the Vietnamese nation could have avoided the war"; falsely accusing this of being an "internal war", "brotherly war" between the two Koreas, "there is no loser, no winner, only the people suffer disadvantages"; claiming that the war in Vietnam is "unnecessary" and completely "can be avoided", claiming that "April 30 should not be called liberation day"; distorting "young Vietnamese people call April 30 a sad event"; if there were no April 30, 1975, South Vietnam today would have developed no less than Korea, far exceeding Thailand...
The above subjects also deliberately distorted the April 30, 1975 victory and the resistance cause of our nation for decades, claiming that it was too high a price to pay, a mistake, causing the nation to be in pain and slow to develop. Not only simply to distort and deny the stature, meaning and value of the victory, the subjects also guided and attributed "responsibility" to oppose the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, sowing hatred, dividing the great national unity bloc, dividing Vietnamese people in the country with Vietnamese people settling and living abroad, lowering prestige, and destroying Vietnam's international relations.
Those attacking rhetoric are not new, repeated every year, but are heated up in the way of expression, through tricks such as conferences, online discussions, roundtable discussions, interviews, recordings... in a crude way, then grafting, making statements, distorted rhetoric, defaming history.
It can be affirmed that this is an unhistorical perception, denying the victory of our people, and at the same time denying both the ideal of national independence and socialism that history, beloved Uncle Ho and our people have chosen. That viewpoint wants to equate the winner and the loser, erasing the purpose and nature of our nation's revolutionary cause. Even under the guise of national reconciliation, political opportunists, reactionaries, and saboteurs also put forward arguments that only when the Communist Party of Vietnam relinches its leadership of the country, only when Vietnam chooses political pluralism and opposition multi-party ideology can national reconciliation be carried out.
In practice, the Party, State and people of Vietnam have always consistently advocated national reconciliation and harmony; strongly arousing patriotism, national self-reliance, the strength of great national unity and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country to build and develop the country. However, national reconciliation and harmony must be based on historical respect; ensuring the interests of the nation and people; stemming from the sincerity and goodwill of all parties. The nature of Vietnam's national defense war is historical truth. With this resistance war, the army and people of Vietnam fought against the enemy invaders, the US imperialists and the puppet army and puppet authorities, and there was no story of the North invading the South, no story of "domestic war", "brotherly revenge".
More than half a century has passed since the country was unified in one row, but the echoes of the triumphal march still resonate in the souls of every Vietnamese child, whether in the country or abroad. National unity is associated with national unity, only national unity can create the strength of the great national unity bloc, connecting Vietnamese people in the country as well as abroad to continue affirming the truth that Vietnam is one, and the Vietnamese nation is one.
April 30, 1975 is an event marking that the territory of Vietnam was returned to its true meaning in history, meeting the aspiration to unify the country of the entire Vietnamese nation.
