Former Party and State leaders visit and give gifts to wounded and sick soldiers in Nghe An

In the afternoon of May 9, on the occasion of the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), a delegation of former Party and State leaders led by comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh - former member of the Politburo, former Standing Deputy Prime Minister - came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Kim Lien Special National Relic Site, Nghe An province.

Also participating in the delegation were former members of the Party Central Committee: Tran Hong Ha - former Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Manh Hung - former Minister of Science and Technology; Dao Ngoc Dung - former Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Doan Hong Phong - former Inspector General of the Government.

Welcoming and accompanying the delegation were leaders of Nghe An province and representatives of relevant departments, branches, and localities.

In President Ho Chi Minh's homeland, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense, expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions.

Prior to that, the delegation came to offer flowers and incense at Chung Son Temple - the temple dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh's ancestors.

In the afternoon of the same day, the working delegation visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers being cared for and nursed at the Nghe An War Invalids Rehabilitation Center.

Speaking here, Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that caring for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of martyrs is the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source", a beautiful traditional feature of the Vietnamese nation and also a major and consistent policy of the Party and State.

On this occasion, the working delegation presented gifts to the Nghe An War Invalids Rehabilitation Center and presented 102 gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers being cared for and nursed here.
