Nghe An - The 2026 national health check-up and screening campaign is being implemented throughout the province, aiming for comprehensive health management for people.

On May 16, Nghe An province coordinated with the Ministry of Health to organize the launching ceremony of the Health Examination and Screening Campaign for people in the province in 2026. Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than and many guests attended the event.

The campaign is implemented according to Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovating the work of protecting and caring for people's health. This is a large-scale activity, aimed at strongly shifting from "healing" thinking to "prevention".

Right on the first day of deployment, Nghe An established 20 key examination areas, with the simultaneous participation of 475 commune and ward health stations. Doctors and medical staff were mobilized from central hospitals, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and related units.

It is expected that on the first day, more than 10,000 people will have free health check-ups and screenings. Priority groups include the elderly, people with meritorious services to the revolution, children, students, and workers at high risk.

At the examination points, people are given general examinations, specialized examinations for eyes, dentistry, maxillofacial, obstetrics; and at the same time, tests, ultrasounds, and X-rays are performed when necessary.

A notable point of the campaign is that examination results are updated into electronic health records on the VNeID platform. This helps the health sector gradually build health data, serving management, monitoring and long-term policy planning.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan highly appreciated Nghe An's proactiveness in implementing the program. The Minister expects the campaign to become a bright spot in people's health care and social security.

On this occasion, the Minister of Health presented 50 bicycles, 2 televisions and 20 cash gifts to poor students overcoming difficulties and families in difficult circumstances in the province.
