A series of routes banned from circulation to serve fireworks in Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - Tomorrow (December 31), many streets in HCMC will be adjusted to serve fireworks displays on the occasion of New Year 2026, people need to pay attention.
On December 30, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced traffic adjustments in some areas to organize the 2026 New Year's Eve Fireworks display.
For the central area (the launch point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel, An Khanh ward and Marina Building, Saigon ward):
From 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025 to 1:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026: All vehicles are prohibited from circulating on the following routes:
+ Le Loi Street (from Pasteur Street to Dong Khoi).
+ Nguyen Hue Street (from Le Thanh Ton Street to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Dong Khoi Street (from Mac Thi Buoi Street to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Ton Duc Thang Street (from Le Duan Street to Khanh Hoi Bridge).
+ Nguyen Huu Canh Street (from Ton Duc Thang Street to Nguyen Binh Khiem).
+ Vo Van Kiet Street (from Pasteur Street to Khanh Hoi Bridge underpass).
+ Ngo Van Nam Street (from Nguyen Sieu Street to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Nguyen Sieu Street (from Ngo Van Nam Street to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (from Hoang Dieu Street to Khanh Hoi Bridge).
+ Ham Nghi Street (from Pasteur Street to Ton Duc Thang).
+ Hai Trieu Street (from Ho Tung Mau Street to Nguyen Hue).
+ Nguyen Thiep Street (from Dong Khoi Street to Nguyen Hue).
+ Huynh Thuc Khang Street (from Pasteur Street to Nguyen Hue).
+ Nguyen Cong Tru Street (from Pasteur Street to Ho Tung Mau).
+ Ton That Thiep Street (from Pasteur Street to Nguyen Hue).
+ Mac Thi Buoi Street (from Dong Khoi Street to Nguyen Hue).
+ Hai Ba Trung Street (from Dong Du Street to Me Linh Construction Site).
+ Ho Tung Mau and Ton That Dam streets (from Vo Van Kiet to Ton That Thiep streets).
+ The routes around the Me Linh Construction Road roundabout include Ngo Duc Ke (to Dong Khoi Street), Ho Huan Nghiep (to Dong Khoi Street), Thi Sach (to Dong Du Street).
+ R12 road (from Ba Son bridge foot to N6).
+ All entrances and exits to and from Ba Son Bridge and Khanh Hoi Bridge.

- Directions from Thanh Tay Ward to Xom Chieu Ward: Nguyen Huu Canh - Nguyen Binh Khiem - Le Duan - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Du - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Nguyen Thi Thai Hoc - Ong Lanh - Hoang Dieu - Nguyen Tat Thanh Bridge.
- Directions from Xom Chieu Ward to Thanh My Tay Ward: Nguyen Tat Thanh - Hoang Dieu - Ong Lanh Bridge - Nguyen Thai Hoc - Nguyen Thi Nghia - Cach Mang Thang Tam - Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh.
- Directions from An Khanh Ward to Hoa Hung Ward: Vo Nguyen Giap - Dien Bien Phu - Dinh Tien Hoang - Vo Thi Sau - Ba Thang Hai - Le Hong Phong.
- Directions from Hoa Hung ward to An Khanh ward: Le Hong Phong - Dien Bien Phu - Vo Nguyen Giap.
- For the routes leading to Me Linh Construction Road rotation (including: Phan Van Dat, Ho Huan Nghiep, Ngo Duc Ke): Only travel towards Me Linh Construction Road, not towards Dong Khoi (for the remaining vehicles in the Dong Khoi area after being isolated to serve the program).
- Prohibit all types of vehicles from stopping, parking and gathering to watch fireworks on Thu Thiem Bridge, Binh Loi Bridge, Binh Trieu Bridge, Mong Bridge, Calmette Bridge, Ong Lanh Bridge, Hang Xanh Intersection Overpass, Go Dua Intersection Overpass, Phu My Bridge, Nguyen Huu Canh Overpass, Thanh Da Canal Bridge, Saigon Bridge, Rach Chiec Bridge...
For area 1 (new City center, Binh Duong ward):
From 8:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025 until the end of the fireworks display: No vehicles are allowed on the following routes:
- Hung Vuong Street (from Hung Vuong + Vo Van Kiet intersection to Hung Vuong + Ly Thai To intersection).
- Le Loi Street (from Le Loi + Le Duan Intersection to Le Loi + Huynh Thuc Khang Intersection).
- Huynh Thuc Khang Street (from Huynh Thuc Khang + Le Loi intersection to Huynh Thuc Khang + Truong Sa intersection).
Alternative route:
- Vo Van Kiet Street - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Duan - Le Loi.
- Vo Van Kiet Street - Huynh Van Luy - Le Loi - Ly Thai To.
For area 2 ( Bai Sau central square, Vung Tau ward):
From 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025 until the end of the fireworks display and art performance: No vehicles are allowed on the following routes:
- Thuy Van Street (from Doan Trung Can Street to Thi Sach).
- Le Hong Phong Street (from the Martyrs' Memorial Roundabout to Thuy Van).
- Tran Chanh Chieu Street (from Su Van Hanh to Thuy Van).
- Le Van Tho Street (from Su Van Hanh to Thuy Van).
Alternative route:
- Directions from Bai Sau to Bai Truoc (banned section of Thuy Van Street from Thi Sach intersection to Nguyen Chi Thanh): Bai Truoc - Thuy Van - Thi Sach - Vong roundabout Dai Liet Si - Vo Thi Sau - Hoang Hoa Tham - Thuy Van - Bai Truoc.
- Directions from Bai Truoc to Bai Sau: Thuy Van - Hoang Hoa Tham - Vo Thi Sau - Roundabout of the Martyrs' Station - Thi Sach - Thuy Van.
