Lao Cai announces the names of 48 communes and wards after the merger
Lao Cai - The locality has unified 48 units with the same name and administrative political center of the commune and ward levels after the arrangement.
According to the Resolution, the number of commune-level administrative units is unified to decrease from 153 communes, wards and towns to 48 communes and wards (including 3 wards and 45 communes), the names and administrative centers of commune-level administrative units after the reorganization.
Of which, Bao Thang district still has 5 communes; Lao Cai city has 4 communes and wards (2 communes, 2 wards); Bat Xat 7 communes; Bao Yen 6 communes; Van Ban 8 communes; Sa Pa town has 6 communes and wards; Bac Ha 6 communes; Si Ma Cai 2 communes and Muong Khuong 4 communes.
The rate of commune-level reduction in Lao Cai province reached 68.22%.
