The State Audit transfers 17 cases to the police for investigation
The State Audit has transferred 17 files to the police investigation agency for investigation and clarification of the case with signs of violating the law through auditing activities.
On the afternoon of October 20, continuing the 10th Session, the National Assembly listened to the State Auditor General report on the work of the State Audit (SA) for the 2021-2026 term.
State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan said that the State Audit has decided to conduct many large-scale auditing topics on the management and use of public finance, public assets, land, resources, and minerals; audit topics "Mobilization, management, and use of resources to serve the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and support policies"...
As of September 30, 2025, the State Audit Office has proposed to handle finances of VND 254,676 billion and USD 125,423,654.63, of which it proposed to increase state budget revenue (NSNN) by VND 24,019 billion, reduce state budget expenditure by VND 92,365 billion and USD 108,890,155.79; other recommendations VND 138,292 billion and USD 16,533,498.84.
During the term, for the first time, the State Audit attended a session to explain the implementation of audit conclusions and recommendations, thereby clearly stating the reasons for not implementing the recommendations and proposing solutions. Therefore, the implementation rate has increased compared to the previous term, many outstanding recommendations have been directed and thoroughly handled.
In order to improve accountability and prevent corruption, waste and negativity in auditing activities, the State Audit requires auditing teams to organize the collection of sufficient appropriate audit evidence, ensuring the correctness of audit conclusions and recommendations.
If violations are detected with signs of crime, the head of the unit conducting the audit must promptly report to the State Audit to immediately transfer the case file to the competent authority or the investigation agency for handling according to the provisions of law, without waiting until the audit is completed, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan stated.

During the term, the State Audit Office provided 1,749 audit reports and related documents to the agencies of the National Assembly, the Central Inspection Committee, the investigation agency and other competent state agencies to serve the investigation, inspection and supervision work.
Providing many reports summarizing audit results related to the supervision contents of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Assembly agencies.
The State Audit has proposed that the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption, waste and negativity be monitored for a number of projects with signs of waste discovered through audits; has transferred 17 files to the police agency for investigation and clarification of cases with signs of law violations through auditing activities.
Coordinate the provision of many documents and audit reports to inspection, examination and investigation agencies for clarification according to their authority.
The State Audit has audited 2 cases with signs of corruption under the direction of the Steering Committee; developed a "Project on regulating power control to prevent corruption and negativity in auditing activities" to coordinate with the Central Inspection Committee to draft a project and regulations of the Politburo on controlling power in inspection, audit, etc.
During the term, the State Audit received 425 petitions, including: 215 complaints, 50 complaints, 158 petitions, recommendations, reflections and 2 denunciations.
The petitions sent to the State Audit are mainly complaints and denunciations that are not under the authority of the State Audit, received and resolved promptly by the State Audit, without being left in backlog.
