National Assembly Chairman departs to attend IPU-152 General Assembly in Turkey, official visit to Italy
This is the first foreign working trip of the National Assembly Chairman after the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 16th National Assembly election, and the consolidation of the State apparatus for the new term.
At the invitation of the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Tulia Ackson, IPU Secretary-General Martin Chungong, in the early morning of April 11, Politburo Member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and his wife, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, left Hanoi to attend the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-152) in Istanbul, Turkey, conduct a number of bilateral activities in Turkey and pay an official visit to the Republic of Italy from April 11-17.
Participating in the official delegation were members of the Party Central Committee: Secretary General of the National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office Le Quang Manh; Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Lam Van Man; Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Social Affairs Nguyen Dac Vinh;
Standing Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Vu Hai Ha; Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien; Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen;
Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai; Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than; Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Tran Huy Tuan; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh; Chairman cum General Director of Military Industry - Telecommunications Group, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang.
Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy State Auditor General Bui Quoc Dung; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dang Hoang Giang; Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy Nguyen Phuong Anh; Vietnamese Ambassador to Turkey Dang Thi Thu Ha also participated in the delegation.
This is the first official foreign working trip of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man after the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 16th National Assembly election and the consolidation of the State apparatus of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the new term; it is a timely and effective step in implementing the foreign policy of the 14th Party Congress, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position and new foreign thinking.
The working trip demonstrates Vietnam's strong support for multilateralism and international law supremacy; continues to demonstrate Vietnam's respect and responsible contribution to the IPU; and affirms Vietnam's consistent policy of always valuing and wishing to continue to consolidate and promote relations with important partners such as Italy and Turkey to become increasingly in-depth and effective.
