Vietnam's aspiration from pioneering youth
In the past term, closely following the direction of the Party and the coordination and orientation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Youth Union) has concretized the pioneering, proactive, and creative spirit into clear practical imprints.
Promoting the pioneering role, volunteering for the community, and dedicating themselves to solving difficult socio-economic problems. The Youth Union organization always considers revolutionary action movements as a "great school" for youth education and training. The Youth Union has creatively applied the "3 linkages" policy, mobilizing more than 48.7 million union members and youth to dedicate themselves to volunteer campaigns.
The image of youth in blue shirts on key projects such as the 500kV circuit 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi power line, the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen power line, the 3,000km highway construction campaign, or in disaster and epidemic response, has become a beautiful symbol of youthful will.
Youth also pioneered with the Front to respond to the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" and many social security programs, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts, realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous country.
In the context of the young generation becoming "digital citizens", the Youth Union has proactively oriented and helped 71.3% of young people access and improve digital capacity. The Youth Union organization also proactively monitors and socially criticizes; fosters ideals and introduces 595,079 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and admission. Thereby, affirming the role of political nucleus, consolidating youth's belief in the leadership of the Party and the regime.
Entering the era of science and technology and digital transformation, the mission of youth is even clearer. Not only are they pioneering "digital ambassadors" in cyberspace, today's youth are also a shock force in socio-economic development.
In economics, youth are the nucleus of the innovative startup ecosystem, boldly applying science and technology to improve productivity and create new value for the country. In social life, the dynamism and dedication of youth continue to create vitality for social security, poverty reduction and new rural construction programs.
The concretization of the Fatherland Front's action programs in the new term needs to be linked to promoting the intelligence and bravery of the youth - the force holding the key to leading the country to develop in the flow of science, technology and sustainable prosperity.
Vietnamese youth currently have more than 20 million people, aged 16 - 30, accounting for 19.8% of the country's population. This is a shock force, pioneer, and creative in building and protecting the Fatherland; rich in patriotism, national pride, firmly believing in the leadership of the Party and the path to socialism.
