Hung Yen creates jobs for 25,720 workers in the first 5 months of the year
Hung Yen - Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee holds regular meeting in May 2026, assessing socio-economic development results in the first 5 months of the year.
On June 10, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting in May 2026 and an online conference with communes and wards to assess the socio-economic development situation in May and the first 5 months of the year, and deploy key tasks for June and the coming time.
According to the report, the socio-economy of the province continues to maintain positive growth momentum. The index of industrial production (IIP) in May increased by 0.91% compared to the previous month, accumulated for 5 months increased by 14.68% compared to the same period in 2025.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at 123.631 billion VND, an increase of 16.57%; total import and export turnover reached 9.944 million USD, an increase of 13.5%; state budget revenue as of May 31st reached 36,775 billion VND, equal to 43.6% of the year's estimate.

Investment attraction continued to improve with 160 new projects and 87 projects adjusting to increase capital, total newly registered and additional capital reached 46,879.7 billion VND and 3791 million USD. The whole province issued new business registration certificates for 2,556 businesses.
Cultural and social fields are deployed synchronously; health care, disease prevention, and social security are ensured; the 10th grade high school entrance exam takes place safely and in accordance with regulations. In the first 5 months of the year, the whole province created jobs for 25,720 workers. Administrative reform and digital transformation continue to be promoted, national defense - security and social order and safety are maintained.
The meeting also listened to reports on the results of direction and administration in May, key tasks in June and the results of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Delegates focused on discussing solutions to remove difficulties, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, implement dynamic infrastructure projects, promote digital transformation and innovation.
Concluding, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen affirmed that the economic growth target for 2026 does not change, requesting departments, branches, and localities to improve responsibility, strengthen coordination, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital, focus on site clearance and be responsible if disbursement results are below the national average.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the review of slow-progress projects to handle and promote the development of social housing, rental housing, review public assets, surplus public land after arranging administrative units, prioritize health and education; and at the same time accelerate tasks on waste treatment, clean water, poverty reduction, implement Resolution No. 57 and key projects to soon put them into operation, contributing to promoting the province's growth.
