Hanoi conducts a general survey on revenue and profit of enterprises
Hanoi - The city has issued Plan No. 390/KH-UBND on the 2026 economic census.
The 2026 Economic Census will be conducted throughout Hanoi for all economic investigation units.
The subjects of the investigation are grassroots units under corporations, general companies, enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative unions, people's credit funds; non-public service units; associations, associations; production and business establishments under administrative agencies, public service units; non-agricultural, forestry and fishery individual production and business establishments; cooperative groups; branches and representative offices of foreign enterprises and non-governmental organizations licensed to operate in Vietnam; religious and belief establishments.
The data period is the information of statistical indicators arising in 2025 or within a certain period of time specifically regulated for each indicator and in the survey form.
The time for collecting information with enterprises is from April 1, 2026 to August 31, 2026; for non-public service units; associations, associations; branches, representative offices of foreign enterprises and non-governmental organizations granted operating licenses in Vietnam from April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
For production and business establishments under administrative agencies and public service units from July 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026. Individual production and business establishments; cooperatives; religious and belief establishments from January 5, 2026 to March 31, 2026. Information collection applies both direct and indirect methods.
The investigation content includes: Identification information, production and business activities, economic types, institutional areas; production and business conditions of the investigation unit (information on labor, assets, capital sources); information on products, revenue, production and business costs, profits, taxes and budget contributions, energy consumption and information for compiling specialized statistical indicators; application of modern technology, scientific research and innovation; application of information technology in production and business, digital economy and e-commerce; in-depth thematic information.
The 2026 General Census on Economy aims to assess the development of the quantity, scale and labor of economic institutions; production and business results; level of application of information technology, digital transformation; structure and distribution of institutions and labor by locality, by economic sector, by economic type and by ownership to meet management and operation requirements.
At the same time, the collected information serves the compilation of related statistical indicators in the national statistical indicator system; especially the gross domestic product (GDP) indicator, gross domestic product in provinces and centrally run cities (GRDP) and indicators in the system of other relevant statistical indicators.
