Hanoi Hanoi Department of Construction issued a traffic diversion and organization plan to serve people's travel needs during Tet.

Directions from Hanoi to the southern provinces
Vehicles from the center of Hanoi to the southern provinces such as Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa... can choose the following routes:
Hanoi Center - Phap Van - Cau Gie intersection - Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway.
Hanoi Center - Giai Phong - Ngoc Hoi - old National Highway 1, entering Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway at Van Diem or Dai Xuyen intersection (Phu Xuyen district).
National Highway 6 (Nguyen Trai - Tran Phu - Quang Trung) - Ba La intersection - Road 21B - National Highway 38, to the old National Highway 1 or to Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway at Vuc Vong intersection.
National Highway 6 - left turn of Phung Hung Street - Southern Axis Road - Provincial Road 427B - Thuong Tin Station, onto Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway.
National Highway 6 - Xuan Mai Town - Ho Chi Minh Road - Road 21B.

Directions from the southern provinces to Hanoi
To reduce the load on Phap Van - Cau Gie Expressway and Phap Van intersection, vehicles from the South to Hanoi can go in the following directions:
At Liem Tuyen intersection: go to Provincial Road 494 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6 (Ba La intersection, Ha Dong).
At Vuc Vong intersection: turn left along National Highway 38 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6; or turn right along National Highway 38 - Yen Lenh bridge - National Highway 39A - Provincial Road 379 - Ring Road 3 (Thanh Tri bridge).
At Van Diem intersection: turn left along National Highway 1 - Provincial Road 429 - National Highway 21B - National Highway 6.
At Thuong Tin intersection: go to Provincial Road 427 - Southern Axis Road - Phung Hung Road (Ha Dong).
Directions to the Northeastern provinces
Vehicles going to Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen and vice versa can travel in the following directions:
Ring Road 3 - Thanh Tri Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.
Nhat Tan Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.
Chuong Duong Bridge - Nguyen Van Cu - Ngo Gia Tu - Duong Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway.
Nhat Tan Bridge - Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 - Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway.
Directions to the Northern and Northwestern provinces

Thang Long Bridge - Provincial Road 23 - Me Linh Road - National Highway 2.
National Highway 3 - Provincial Road 296 - Hanoi - Lao Cai Expressway.
National Highway 32 to Phu Tho.
Thang Long Avenue - Tan Linh - Yen Bai - Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh Expressway or National Highway 6 through Xuan Mai - Hoa Binh.

Directions to the Eastern provinces
Vehicles to Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and vice versa can travel on the following routes:
Co Linh Street - Ring Road 3 Intersection - Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway.
Provincial Road 379 to Hung Yen, Hai Phong.
The old National Highway 5 (Nguyen Van Linh - Nguyen Duc Thuan) to Hai Duong.
Thanh Tri Bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway - National Highway 18.
The Hanoi Department of Construction requires the Transport Management Department to specifically notify bus stations and transport businesses to proactively organize routes from a distance, avoiding congestion of vehicles at the gateways of the capital. The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board coordinates to review and supplement the system of signs and directional signs to ensure effective and safe traffic flow.
