Hanoi allows motorbikes to travel on Long Bien Bridge from 0:00 on January 1, 2026

The Hanoi Department of Construction has just announced the restoration of the traffic organization plan on Long Bien Bridge after completing the project: Periodic repair of Tran Nhat Duat Bridge Km2+215, Hanoi - Dong Dang railway line.

Accordingly, motorbikes, rudimentary vehicles, and passengers are allowed to travel on Long Bien Bridge (from Bo De to Hoan Kiem) on the road section, motorbike road and rudimentary vehicles (according to the plan when the traffic organization for bridge repair has not been adjusted).

The implementation time is from 0:00 on January 1, 2026.

The Department of Construction requests the investor and the construction unit to revoke the entire system of signs for traffic flow that have been arranged according to notices No. 1262/TB-SXD dated October 29, 2025, No. 1272/TB-SXD dated October 30, 2025 of the Department of Construction and restore the system of signs (before adjusting the traffic organization for bridge repair).

The investor and the construction unit are fully responsible for ensuring traffic safety for vehicles traveling through Long Bien Bridge.

The Department of Construction requested the Traffic Police Department - City Police to coordinate in guiding traffic organization adjustment for vehicles participating in traffic to ensure traffic safety and avoid traffic congestion.

Request the People's Committees of Bo De and Hoan Kiem wards to coordinate in organizing propaganda and notifying people around the construction area and directing relevant functional forces to coordinate in guiding vehicles participating in traffic according to this notice.

The Transport Inspectorate organizes inspections to ensure compliance with traffic diversion notices and traffic safety work. Timely report to the Department of Construction on any problems in traffic organization.

The Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board inspects and supervises compliance with the contents specified in the notice, including the work of recovering the inappropriate sign system after restoring traffic organization on Long Bien Bridge and related routes.
