Funding to exempt tuition fees for all students
The Politburo has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Training on exempting tuition fees for students from kindergarten to high school. The country currently has about 23.2 million students exempted from tuition fees, and the Ministry of Education and Training has estimated the state budget to be paid to implement this policy based on current regulations.
The total needed budget is about 30 trillion VND, of which the central budget will pay the remainder after deducting the local budget that has supported tuition exemption.

The tuition exemption has a great impact on the balance of the state budget and the orientation of students' traffic after high school. If high school students are exempted from tuition fees, it can affect their decision to continue studying or vocational training. However, this policy will help reduce the financial burden on families and receive high consensus from society. See more...
