Bac Kan - After nearly 2 years of implementation, the hundred-billion-dong road project connecting the city to Nam Cat Lake has gradually emerged, expected to be completed in 2025.

As one of the three key projects of Bac Kan City and under the special supervision of the province, the Nam Cat Lake Road Project (project) is identified as an essential infrastructure project, serving urban development and connecting people.

The project started in December 2023, with the Bac Kan City Project Management and Investment Board as the investor, with a total capital of about 226 billion VND, of which the central budget supports 90 billion VND, the rest from the city budget and other legal capital sources.

The route has a total length of about 6km, divided into 3 sections. Of which, section 1 is about 1.4km long, built according to urban road standards, with a 10.5m wide road surface and 3m wide sidewalks on both sides.

Section 2 is about 1.5km long, built according to the scale of a level IV road, with a 7m wide road surface and 3m sidewalks on each side.

Section 3 is the route around the lake, about 3.1km long. The road surface is 7.5m wide, the sidewalk on each side is 1.25m, in accordance with the standards of a grade IV road.

On April 16, the reporter noted that after nearly 2 years of implementation, the shape of the road project to Nam Cat Lake has gradually emerged.

Mr. Tran Cong Hoa - Director of the Department of Finance said that the road project to Nam Cat Lake will be completed in 2025.

During the project implementation, the unit also encountered some difficulties in terms of site clearance, but still ensured the progress set out according to the plan as well as ensuring the time for capital allocation.

When completed, the route will contribute to improving the technical infrastructure of Nam Cat Lake area, while creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the area.
