Dak Nong solicits opinions on merging communes and wards in the area
Dak Nong - The authorities are collecting opinions on the options for growing wax on commune-level administrative units in the area.
On April 15, the Department of Home Affairs of Dak Nong province informed that the unit had sent a document to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities in the area to collect opinions on the plan to reorganize and reorganize commune-level administrative units.
Accordingly, at the meeting of members of the Provincial People's Committee on the morning of April 15, Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities to urgently report to the Standing Committees of district and city Party committees for comments on the plan to merge commune-level administrative units.
In which, option 1, the locality will arrange 71 commune-level administrative units to 28 units, a reduction of 60.57%.
Option 2 agreed to arrange 71 commune-level administrative units to 28 units. However, for Gia Nghia city, 6 wards (Quang Thanh, Nghia Thanh, Nghia Duc, Nghia Trung, Nghia Tan, Nghia Phu wards) will be merged into 1 ward.
Dak Nia commune will merge with Dak Ha commune; Dak R'moan commune will merge with Truong Xuan commune, Nam N'jang commune will remain.
In addition, there are opinions suggesting a plan to arrange 71 commune-level administrative units to 27 units. 7 communes and wards of Gia Nghia city will be merged into 1 ward; Quang Thanh ward will be merged with Dak Ha commune.
In response to the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Home Affairs requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities to send their opinions to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Home Affairs) to report to the Project Steering Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Dak Nong province currently has 8 district-level administrative units (Gia Nghia city and 7 districts) with 71 communes, wards and towns.
The natural area of the whole province is 6,509.3 km2 and the population including the permanent population of the whole province has more than 750,000 people.
