Department of Propaganda and Training receives First-class Fatherland Protection Medal
On May 11, in Hanoi, the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Propaganda Department - Military Propaganda Department and the receipt of the First-class Fatherland Protection Medal took place.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA); Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet attended the anniversary ceremony.
Presenting a speech at the anniversary ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc - Director of the Department of Propaganda and Training - reviewed the achievements of the Department of Propaganda and Training, the Propaganda and Training sector achieved in 80 years of formation and development.
Looking back at the 80-year journey of development, it can be affirmed that the Propaganda and Training Department has proven its particularly important role, being an indispensable factor in shaping the strength of the Vietnam People's Army. For a revolutionary army, ideological and cultural work is the source of determination to fight and win for officers and soldiers through all periods of arduous history," Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc affirmed.
At the anniversary ceremony, Major General Tran Ngoc Anh - Director of the Political Department, Vice Chairman of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - conducted the ceremony to announce and receive the First-class Fatherland Protection Order.
Speaking to direct at the ceremony, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - acknowledged and praised the outstanding achievements of the unit, and directly assigned tasks with 5 strategic goals, orienting the development path of the Department of Propaganda and Training in the new period.
First, thoroughly understand the ideological foundation, continue to be steadfast in the ideological foundation, viewpoints, and guidelines of the Party.
Second, raise awareness about the role of ideological and cultural work throughout the army.
Third, comprehensive innovation, application of science and technology, digital transformation to elevate ideological and cultural work.
Fourth, proactively advise and actively direct the struggle on the ideological front; resolutely prevent manifestations of degradation, corruption, and self-transformation within the internal ranks.
