Quang Ninh Police announce special amnesty decisions for 45 inmates
Quang Ninh - On the morning of June 1st, Quang Ninh Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's Decision on amnesty in 2026 for 45 prisoners.
45 prisoners serving prison sentences at the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Detention Center who were granted amnesty this time are people with good reform processes, who voluntarily comply with the provisions of law and the internal regulations of the detention facility.
The longest sentence reduction period is 2 years 11 months 16 days, the shortest is 27 days.
The process of granting amnesty is coordinated by functional units to review and appraise dossiers closely, ensuring publicity, transparency, correct subjects, correct standards and in accordance with the law.
In order to improve the effectiveness of education and reform of prisoners, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Detention Center regularly organizes vocational training classes for prisoners, especially those who are eligible for special amnesty. Through this, prisoners are equipped with professional knowledge and skills, and have more conditions to reintegrate into the community after returning to their localities.
