Police sign agreement on crime prevention and control in Phu Quoc special zone

On January 16, in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang Provincial Police held a conference to deploy and sign a plan to coordinate crime prevention and control with the professional departments under the Ministry of Public Security.
An Giang Provincial Police signed a cooperation plan with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency, the Criminal Police Department, the Economic Police Department, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and the Environmental Crime Prevention and Control Police Department. In order to strengthen coordination in grasping the situation, exchanging information, providing professional guidance and fighting and handling all types of crimes in the Phu Quoc special zone.
The coordination plan focuses on key contents such as: prevention and combating criminal crimes, organized crimes, drug crimes, economic and environmental crimes; strictly managing all types of subjects; proactively detecting and handling early and remote risks of complicated security and order issues, not allowing hot spots to form.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong - Deputy Director of An Giang Provincial Police - emphasized that the signing of the coordination plan with the professional departments of the Ministry of Public Security is of special significance, demonstrating the high political determination of the Provincial Police in ensuring security and order in Phu Quoc special zone - a strategic area for economy, tourism and foreign affairs.
The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department requested that after signing the Coordination Plan, the professional departments of the Provincial Police and the Public Security Department should closely coordinate to seriously and effectively implement the signed contents, ensuring clear people, clear work, and clear responsibilities.
Representatives of the leaders of the Departments of Public Security affirmed that they will accompany and support the An Giang Provincial Police in their professional work, strengthen coordination in fighting and handling complicated cases, especially organized crime and transnational crimes, contributing to maintaining stable security and order in the Phu Quoc special zone.
The signing and implementation of the coordination plan is expected to create positive changes in the security and order situation, contributing to building Phu Quoc into a safe and civilized area, effectively serving the task of socio-economic development and tourism of An Giang province in the coming time.
