Coast Guard 4 distribute free porridge to patients at Phu Quoc Medical Center
An Giang - From early morning, female soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command cooked porridge pots to ensure hygiene and distributed them to patients.
On January 15, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized a free charity portion distribution program for poor patients in especially difficult circumstances being treated at the Phu Quoc Special Medical Center, An Giang province.
Participating in the program are officers, union members, and women members of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command. From early morning, the female soldiers directly selected ingredients, processed and cooked porridge pots to ensure nutrition, hygiene and food safety. Each portion of hot porridge is given to the patient's hands with kindness, thoughtfulness, expressing the affection, responsibility and deep sharing of officers and soldiers for those who are still in difficult circumstances in life.
Not only have material value, bowls of porridge of love are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding confidence and determination to patients in the journey to fight the disease. Many patients and their relatives were moved by the sincere attention of the Coast Guard female soldiers.
Patient Nguyen Van Truong (currently treated in the Surgery Department) shared: I was moved to receive attention, visits and hand-over a bowl of hot porridge. I feel warmer during my treatment days here.
The charity porridge distribution program is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" - a soldier of the Vietnam Coast Guard in the hearts of the people. In particular, the image of a female soldier is both steadfast in performing her duties and rich in compassion and responsibility to the community.

This activity is part of a series of mass mobilization and social security work programs regularly implemented by the Coast Guard Region 4 Command in recent years and organized regularly every month. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and attachment between the Army and the People, strengthening the people's trust in the Vietnam Coast Guard force.
In the coming time, the Coast Guard Region 4 Command will continue to promote and replicate practical and effective charity models and activities, joining hands with local Party committees and authorities to better care for the material and spiritual life of vulnerable groups in society.
