Hungarian National Assembly Chairman visits the memorial tower of scholar Sandor Korosi Csoma in Vung Tau

On October 18, Hungarian National Assembly Chairman Kover Laszlo and his delegation visited the tower in memory of Hungarian Eastern European scholar and researcher Sandor Korosi Csoma in Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Welcoming the Hungarian working delegation was Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, along with leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities.

The tower is located in alley 220 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a project built in 1972 to commemorate Hungarian scholar Sandor Korosi Csoma (1784-1842), who made many great contributions to human culture. Since its construction, the tower has been preserved and restored by the local government and people, becoming a symbol of the friendship between Vietnam and Hungary.

At the visit, National Assembly Chairman Kover Laszlo and members of the delegation offered flowers in memory and expressed their respect for the scholar; at the same time, acknowledged the respect of the government and people of Ho Chi Minh City in general and Vung Tau in particular in preserving the work bearing the mark of Hungary in Vung Tau ward.
