Payment of gifts for the Lunar New Year 2026 to 14 groups of people with meritorious services
The Ministry of Home Affairs guides localities to organize the payment of Tet gifts from the Party and State on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026 for 14 groups of people with meritorious services.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has just issued an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and cities to guide the organization of gift payments of the Party and State on the occasion of welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026, ensuring proper implementation to the right subjects, in accordance with regulations and on time.
The payment of Tet gifts is implemented according to Resolution No. 418/NQ-CP dated December 28, 2025 of the Government and Decision No. 2814/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on targeted supplementation from the central budget in 2025 to localities.
At the same time, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests localities to implement according to the instructions of the Ministry of Finance in Official Dispatch No. 20467/BTC-KTN dated December 30, 2025.
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, 14 groups of people with meritorious services will be given gifts, including:
One is that revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945 are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
The two were revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to before the August 1945 uprising who were receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Her father is a Vietnamese Heroic Mother who is receiving a monthly preferential allowance.
Four are the Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Heroes of Labor during the resistance war who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
The five are relatives of martyrs receiving monthly pension benefits and relatives of two or more martyrs receiving monthly pension benefits.
Six are disabled soldiers, people enjoying policies such as disabled soldiers, type B disabled soldiers, and sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Seven people with meritorious services to the revolution are receiving monthly allowances.
Eight are resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 81% or more and are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
These include war invalids, people enjoying policies such as war invalids, type B war invalids, and sick soldiers with a physical injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances, including war invalids who are receiving unemployment benefits.
Muoi is a representative of the martyrs' relatives.
Eleven is the person who worships a martyr in cases where the martyr has no relatives.
Twelve are people with meritorious services to the revolution who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Thirteen are resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a body injury rate of 80% or less who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.
Fourteens are revolutionary activists, resistance fighters, national defenders or international service members imprisoned or deported by the enemy who are receiving monthly allowances.
The Ministry of Home Affairs requires that, along with the payment, localities are responsible for synthesizing the implementation situation and preparing reports according to the unified form issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The report must clearly state each group of subjects receiving gifts, the number of beneficiaries and the total implementation cost in the locality.
The gift payment will be made on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026; the budget will be arranged in the 2025 budget year, reporting the results before January 5, 2026.
