The Ministry of Health informs about the subjects who were given 400,000 VND in Tet gifts

According to the Department of Social Protection - Ministry of Health, this is a policy of profound political and humanitarian significance to express gratitude and demonstrate the concern of the Party and State for people with revolutionary contributions, social protection beneficiaries, social pensioners and other vulnerable groups.

The Ministry of Health proposes to promptly and effectively implement Resolution No. 418/NQ-CP dated December 28, 2025 of the Government on giving gifts on the occasion of the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Lunar New Year 2026; ensuring the giving of gifts is convenient, simple, timely, appropriate, to the right subjects, and in accordance with regulations.

About the subjects of gifts

- People with revolutionary contributions.

- Social protection beneficiaries as prescribed in Decree No. 20/2021/ND-CP dated March 15, 2021 of the Government regulating social assistance policies for social protection beneficiaries, including orphans, homeless children or children in care and nurturing facilities.

- Social pensioners as prescribed in Decree No. 176/2025/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Social Insurance on social pension benefits.

- Based on the actual situation and the ability to balance resources, localities will consider and decide on giving gifts to other vulnerable groups in the area according to their authority.

gift level and payment method

- gift level: 400,000 VND/person, in cash. In case 01 person is confirmed to be 02 or more eligible for both gifts, he/she will only receive 01 gift.

- Payment method: Providing gifts from the Party and State through social security accounts on VNeID to people with revolutionary contributions, social protection beneficiaries, social pensioners and other vulnerable groups; if necessary, People's Committees of provinces and cities direct relevant local agencies and People's Committees at the commune level to give gifts directly to the accounts receiving monthly allowances and subsidies (if any) or pay directly in cash according to regulations.

Implementation progress

- People's Committees of provinces and cities proactively arrange funds to promptly pay the subjects; the gift giving is completed no later than December 31, 2025.

- The People's Committees of provinces and cities report the implementation results to the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Health before January 5, 2026.
