Pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries will receive additional gifts for the Lunar New Year 2026
Currently, some provinces and cities have policies to give gifts for the 2026 Lunar New Year to those who are receiving pensions and monthly social insurance benefits.
Many provinces and cities have issued policies to give gifts to pensioners and social insurance beneficiaries on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026:
Hanoi City
The Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to give gifts for Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 with a total of 1,165,878 gifts, with a total cost of VND 574,423,500,000 to policy beneficiaries on the occasion of Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan, the gift giving is aimed at those who are enjoying preferential policies for meritorious people; those receiving monthly pensions, allowances for loss of working capacity, social pension benefits; poor households, near-poor households; social protection beneficiaries; the elderly; workers, civil servants, and laborers in especially difficult circumstances; female former youth volunteers in difficult circumstances; at the same time, visit and give gifts to outstanding organizations, individuals and policy-implementing units on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.
Dong Nai Province
The Resolution of the People's Council of Dong Nai province stipulates cash support of VND 1,200,000 and gifts worth VND 1,000,000 for pensioners and regular monthly social insurance beneficiaries in the area during the Lunar New Year 2026.
The People's Council of Dong Nai province, term X, 8th Session, passed Resolution 26/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating the subjects and support levels during the Lunar New Year 2026 in Dong Nai province.
Thus, during the Lunar New Year 2026, a support level of VND 1,200,000/person (or VND 1,200,000/household) will be implemented for those receiving regular monthly pensions and social insurance benefits.
In particular, comrades who are former Directors of Departments and equivalent or more who have retired but are not members of the Provincial Party Committee, Heads of public service units under the Provincial People's Committee; Chairmen of Board members, Chairmen of companies, General Directors (or Directors) of one-member Limited Liability companies with 100% or more State capital held by the State are parent companies of state-owned economic groups, parent companies of state-owned corporations, parent companies in the group of parent companies - subsidiaries; One-member limited liability companies are companies with 100% state capital held by the State, representatives of state capital in enterprises with state capital holding 50% or more of charter capital holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Members (or Chairman of the Board of Directors), General Director (or General Director) of state-owned enterprises, capital-owned enterprises in the group of parent companies - subsidiaries; limited-member companies with an independent company with 100% state capital held by the State, representatives of state-owned enterprises with 50% or more holding the position of Chairman of the Board of Members (or Chairman of the Board of the Board of Management Board of the Board of Directors), General Director (or General Director of the Provincial Investment Fund) or the Provincial Investment Fund for the capital investment fund for investment fund to be arranged by the Department of the Department of the Department of the Department of Investment Investment for investment or the Department of the Department of the Department of Investment for investment to receive additional 1,000,000,000 or the year of the year of the year of the year.

These are the 4 provinces where Vietnam Social Insurance will pay a combined of 3 months of pension and social insurance allowance (December 2025, January and February 2026) in the payment period of December 2025 to support pension and allowance recipients to have more resources to cope with difficulties, rebuild their lives after storms and floods and prepare essential spending during Tet.
