The Ministry of Construction has a new request to Ho Chi Minh City during the holiday
Informing Lao Dong Newspaper on the evening of April 14, a representative of the Ministry of Construction said that the unit has just issued a new request to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and other provinces and cities during the holiday.
Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan signed document 1798/BXD-VT&ATGT on strengthening transportation to serve people traveling to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The Ministry of Construction requires the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Public Transport as follows:
Strengthen propaganda and guidance on the implementation of legal regulations on business and business conditions for automobile transportation in the locality.
Request passenger transport businesses with transport routes connecting to Ho Chi Minh City to have appropriate transportation plans to meet the travel needs of the people, carry the right allowable load, carry the right number of people according to regulations, ensure the capacity and quality of transportation services; strictly check the safety conditions of vehicles and drivers before leaving the port.
Proactively coordinate with departments, branches, and local authorities to review and handle "black spots" and "potential points" at risk of traffic congestion and accidents on the road system managed by the city.
Surveying and evaluating the traffic sign system in the area, especially at gateways, locations connecting the city's main traffic routes, areas connecting to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, creating favorable conditions for vehicles to circulate.
The Ministry of Construction also requires local Department of Construction to comply with the above regulations. In particular, units need to focus on propagating the implementation of regulations on driving time, speed, distance between vehicles on the highway, technical safety conditions of vehicles, conditions for drivers doing business in transportation, carrying the correct number of people as prescribed.
