The Ministry of Industry and Trade introduces Acting Minister Le Manh Hung to run for the 16th National Assembly Delegate

On January 15, implementing the provisions of the law on election work, Instruction No. 26/HD-MTTW-BTT dated December 14, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front guiding agencies, organizations and units at the Central level to conduct a nomination for the 16th National Assembly Delegation (NAD) term, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has implemented conferences in the process of introducing personnel to participate in the 16th National Assembly nomination process, term 2026 - 2031 according to the provisions of the law on election.

Accordingly, 100% of delegates attending the Conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace for those expected to be introduced as candidates for the 16th National Assembly, as well as the Conference of the collective leadership to expand the discussion and introduction of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, voted unanimously to introduce Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly.

Attending the conference, delegates discussed and introduced candidates for National Assembly deputies in a frank and responsible manner, focusing on contributing comprehensive and objective comments, clarifying political mettle, sense of organization, discipline, sense of responsibility, leadership and direction of those expected to be introduced as candidates.

The opinions expressed at the conference all expressed high consensus and unanimousness in introducing comrade Le Manh Hung - Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, National Assembly Delegate of the 15th National Assembly, Member of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee to nominate a National Assembly Delegate of the 16th National Assembly.

The delegates assessed comrade Le Manh Hung as a cadre with many years of experience in the energy sector, well-trained, strong political will, innovative thinking, and rich experience in state management and business operations. He is always exemplary, approachable, listener to cadres and people, qualified to be a bridge between voters and the National Assembly.

Speaking at the conference, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung said that being introduced as a candidate for the National Assembly Delegate is a great honor, and at the same time a political responsibility to the Party, the State, voters in the Industry and Trade sector, voters and people nationwide.

The Acting Minister also affirmed that he will strive to fulfill his role as a people's representative, actively participate in the activities of the National Assembly, proactively study and contribute to the Draft Laws, Resolutions, and major decisions of the National Assembly to institutionalize the Party's viewpoints and policies, in order to meet the requirements of national development in the new era, and maintain close connection between National Assembly deputies and voters and the people.

As Party Secretary, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and National Assembly delegate, the Acting Minister of Industry and Trade believes that there will be many opportunities to receive a lot of multidimensional information and have critical thinking on issues of the country and the industry, thereby providing timely orientation and decisions for the development of the Industry and Trade sector, meeting the requirements and tasks assigned by the Party and the State.

The conference is considered to be of great significance, aiming to promote the mastery of voters at the workplace; ensuring that the introduction of candidates is carried out democratically, objectively, publicly, transparently, in accordance with the procedures and regulations of the law, as a basis for synthesizing reports to competent authorities according to regulations.
