Police Major General introduced as a candidate for National Assembly

On January 15, Hanoi City Police held a conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace on personnel expected to be introduced as candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the Hanoi People's Council for the 2026-2031 term.

At the beginning of the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of CATP, approved the CATP leadership personnel expected to be introduced as candidates for National Assembly deputies and City People's Council delegates; standards for National Assembly deputies and City People's Council delegates.

Accordingly, based on the standards of delegates, the Hanoi City Party Committee proposed to introduce Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung to re-elect the City People's Council and Major General Duong Duc Hai to run for the 16th National Assembly.

After announcing the standards for delegates and personnel plans, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Quang, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department, Secretary of the Conference, reported a summary biography of the personnel leading the CATP organization expected to introduce candidates for the National Assembly and People's Council of the City.

Under the direction of Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, the Conference discussed and collected voters' opinions on each personnel expected to introduce candidates for National Assembly and People's Council delegates.

All opinions affirmed that the two personnel introduced to run for National Assembly and re-nominated for City People's Council are all quality quality quality leaders, with ethics, political courage, capacity, and responsibility for their wholehearted and great work; have excellently completed all assigned tasks; have been recognized by the leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, and City People's Committee with many noble awards.

At the conference, 100% of voters of Hanoi City Police approved the introduction of personnel to run for National Assembly and City People's Council delegates for Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung and Major General Duong Duc Hai.

On the same day, the Hanoi Expanded Committee for Leadership Conference conducted a vote and agreed to introduce the two personnel mentioned above to the National Assembly candidates and the City People's Council delegates, with 100% of delegates attending the conference in favor.
