Agribank completes senior personnel, Mr. To Huy Vu holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. To Huy Vu was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Members of Agribank from April 3, 2025.
Mr. To Huy Vu - Director of the State Bank's International Cooperation Department has been transferred and appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank), and at the same time, to hold the role of Secretary of the Agribank Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term.
At the Conference to announce decisions to appoint Party Committee Secretaries and appoint the position of Chairman of Agribank Board of Members held in early April 2025, Governor of the State Bank Nguyen Thi Hong emphasized that the appointment of senior leadership personnel is an important step to enhance Agribank's governance and operational capacity in the new context. The Governor expressed his hope that Mr. To Huy Vu and the newly appointed personnel will promote their good experience, responsibility, and solidarity to continue building Agribank to develop strongly, affirming its role as one of the leading commercial banks in Vietnam, contributing positively to the country's socio-economic development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Huy Vu respectfully thanked and expressed his honor at being trusted by the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee and the State Bank's Board of Directors.
He affirmed that he will continue to promote his qualifications and working capacity, together with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Party Executive Committee, the Board of Members, the Executive Committee and the entire Agribank system, to inherit and promote the achievements that have been achieved, determined, striving to overcome all challenges, and successfully completing assigned tasks.
In particular, focusing on leading and directing the comprehensive completion of key business targets in 2025 and targets according to the Resolution of the 10th Agribank Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; Restructuring plan associated with bad debt handling for the period 2021 - 2025; preparing and best ensuring the conditions for successfully organizing the 11th Agribank Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
In his new position, Mr. To Huy Vu hopes to continue to receive attention, leadership, direction and support from leaders of the Government, ministries, departments, branches, and the State Bank; the attention of previous generations of leaders and the coordination and support of the Board of Directors and all Agribank staff and employees to best complete the assigned tasks.
2025 is of great significance and decisiveness for the completion of the goals of the Restructuring Plan associated with bad debt handling for the period 2021 - 2025 and the targets of the Resolution of the 10th Agribank Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. This is also the year of the 11th Party Congresses at all levels and the 11th Agribank Party Congresses, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 1st Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.
The improvement of senior personnel at Agribank is identified as an important factor to strengthen leadership and direction, ensure effective and efficient operations, and create a solid foundation for the bank to develop sustainably, entering a new development stage with the country - a period of breakthrough and strong development.
Mr. To Huy Vu was born in 1980, from Thanh Hoa. Qualifications: Bachelor of Foreign Trade University, Master of Business Administration, Master of Management, Doctor of Economics in the French Republic, Senior Political Theory. During his working in the banking industry, he held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Department of Forecasting and monetary statistics of the State Bank; Party Cell Secretary, Director of the Department of Forecasting and monetary statistics of the State Bank; Member of the Executive Committee of the State Bank Party Committee, Party Cell Secretary, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the State Bank.
