98.19% of Hung Nguyen district residents agree with the new commune name

Nghe An - Almost all people in Hung Nguyen district agree with the plan to name new communes after the arrangement of administrative units.

On April 23, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Pham Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province - said that the locality has just completed collecting voters' opinions on the plan to name the new commune-level administrative unit.

As a result, up to 98.19% of the people agreed with the plan to arrange the district's communes into 4 new units, named: Hung Nguyen I, Hung Nguyen II, Hung Nguyen III and Hung Nguyen IV communes.

This is part of the project to implement Resolution No. 76/2025/UBTVQH of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of administrative units in 2025. According to the approved plan, the current 19 communes and towns of Hung Nguyen will be rearranged into 4 new communes.

Hung Nguyen I commune includes Hung Nguyen town, Hung Tay, Hung Dao, Thinh My, Hung Yen Bac; Hung Nguyen II commune includes Hung Yen Nam, Hung Trung.

Hung Nguyen III commune includes Hung Linh, Long Xa, Thong Tan, Xuan Lam, Hung Tan; Hung Nguyen IV commune includes Hung Thanh, Chau Nhan, Phuc Loi, Hung Nghia.

The consultation is organized closely, publicly, transparently and completed before April 22, 2025. The People's Committee at the commune level synthesized the results and submitted them to the People's Council at the commune level for approval of the arrangement plan on April 23. The District People's Committee will continue to complete the dossier and submit it to the District People's Council for approval before April 25, 2025 on schedule.
