Launching the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model at Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam

On June 30, the Trade Union of Meiko Hai Duong Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Hai Phong City) organized a conference to launch the "Socialist Grassroots Trade Union" model for the period 2026-2030.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation organized propaganda on labor law, wages, working hours and labor discipline for workers and employees of the company.

Currently, the Trade Union of Meiko Electronics Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. has 505 union members out of a total of 630 employees. In the 2020-2025 term, the Trade Union has coordinated to organize 5 employee conferences, 5 periodic dialogues; received and resolved about 90% of the total 15 recommendations of employees. The average income of employees reached 14.5 million VND/person/month.

Through self-assessment according to the model criteria "Socialist grassroots trade union", the company's Trade Union achieved 89.5/100 points. According to the roadmap, in 2026, focus on launching the model, signing commitments to coordinate with the Board of Directors and implementing the criteria; in the 2027-2030 period, continue to improve the quality of dialogue, negotiation, care for material and spiritual life and standardize the model.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation - said that the selection of Meiko Electronics Hai Duong Vietnam Co., Ltd. to implement the model aims to concretize the policy of Hai Phong City Party Committee and Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet, with the characteristic of an FDI enterprise with a large number of workers, the model will contribute to building a strong grassroots trade union, better caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, and at the same time building harmonious and stable labor relations in the enterprise.

In addition, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation said that organizing labor law propaganda immediately after the commitment signing ceremony is a practical way, showing the spirit of not stopping at commitment but immediately turning the criteria of the model into specific actions, bringing practical benefits to union members and workers.
