Dien Bien promotes the development of grassroots trade unions

Identifying the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions as one of the key tasks of the Trade Union organization, in the past time, the Trade Union levels of Dien Bien province have closely followed grassroots levels, propagated and mobilized workers to join the organization.

Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Labor Federation has organized the launching ceremony of 6 grassroots trade unions. This activity is of great significance in expanding the trade union organization, gathering workers, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members.

In mid-June 2026, the Provincial Labor Federation organized the announcement of the decision to establish 3 grassroots trade unions at the same time, including: Dien Bien Phu Ward Project Management and Land Fund Development Board, Cat Loi Dien Bien Co., Ltd. and Phong Huy Dien Bien Provincial Co., Ltd., admitting a total of 85 union members.

Recently, the Provincial Labor Federation continued to award decisions to establish the grassroots trade union of Linh Nam Dien Bien Co., Ltd. with 20 union members and the grassroots trade union of Dien Bien Trade Co., Ltd. No. 1 with 12 union members.

The continuous launch of new grassroots trade unions not only helps increase the number of union members but also contributes to building harmonious and stable labor relations, improving the efficiency of caring for life and promoting the sustainable development of agencies, units, and businesses.

Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that after establishment, the Executive Committees of grassroots trade unions need to soon stabilize their organization, quickly promote their representative role, and take care of the material and spiritual lives of workers. At the same time, grassroots trade unions must be a solid bridge, closely coordinate with employers to well implement grassroots democracy regulations and regularly listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members.

According to the Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, grassroots trade unions also need to strengthen propaganda and mobilize workers to join the Trade Union organization. At the same time, actively coordinate with employers to establish grassroots trade unions at eligible enterprises.

The expansion of trade union organizations throughout the province by the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation is and will create a solid support for workers, making an important contribution to the socio-economic development of the locality.
