The 7th Congress of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union agreed on the goal of the 2023 - 2028 term: Strongly innovating the method of trade union activities, building a team of trade union officials to meet requirements, strengthening propaganda and mobilization work, focusing on caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, creating motivation to promote potential and intelligence, fostering the development of the Oil and Gas culture.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Ms. Nghiem Thuy Lan - Chairman of the DKVN Trade Union said that the Conference was connected online to 30 connecting points of affiliated grassroots trade unions and thousands of Oil and Gas workers to help key staff and trade union officials at all levels grasp the basic and core contents of the documents of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the documents of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union. From there, organize, direct, advise, and implement the Resolution creatively and effectively into practical operation.

Comrade Nghiem Thuy Lan emphasized that the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has approved the following goals: Building a strong working class and trade union organizations at all levels; performing well the functions and tasks in the new situation, focusing on representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; building a team of trade union cadres with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility, prestige and good working methods.

After implementing the Resolution, the DKVN Trade Union has gradually laid the foundation for the annual target and the term target. Those achievements promise to bring the Resolution into life and achieve many successes.

The Resolution must be expressed through a specific action program

After the Congress, the DKVN Trade Union developed a specific and detailed Action Program. The purpose is to concretize the orientation, tasks and solutions of the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union, term 2023 - 2028 into specialized programs and plans for implementation in the entire term; create unity in awareness and action in leadership, direction and implementation in the entire system of trade union organizations in the whole industry.
