Ca Mau - On the afternoon of December 28, the 1st Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held its first session.

At the first working session, delegates listened to the political report submitted to the congress.

The goal of the Ca Mau Trade Union from now until 2030 is to focus on building a strong Trade Union organization; perform well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; promote the pioneering nature of the workforce to gradually modernise, contributing to the comprehensive development of Ca Mau province.

Trade unions at all levels in the province focus on promoting the development of union members in economic sectors; improving the qualifications and political courage of union officials; actively participating in Party building and government building; playing a good role as a bridge, maintaining close links between the Party Committee and the government with the province's workforce.

Strengthen propaganda and education activities and promote representation activities, care for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; launch emulation movements for good workers, creative workers, develop production, ensure jobs, increase income and improve working conditions; encourage union members and workers to overcome difficulties, strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and socio-economic development goals of Ca Mau province.

The political report submitted to the congress also raised a number of general targets by the end of the term such as: Developing an increase of 7,500 union members. Enterprises and units with trade unions that are eligible to represent, negotiate, and sign collective labor agreements according to the provisions of law, reaching 90%.

Strive to have at least 75% of cases of union members and grassroots unions that need consultation and debate in court have union representatives participating or being supported by the union.

Through emulation movements, striving for 4,500 initiatives of union members and workers to be applied in production, business and work. At least 25 Creative Labor Certificates are proposed for recognition by the General Confederation. 50% of workers in enterprises achieve the title of "Studying Citizen" issued by competent authorities.

The Congress also selected 3 breakthroughs: Promoting innovation, strongly applying digital transformation in Trade Union activities, especially in propaganda, gathering, and serving union members and workers.
